Digital Equity

Lack of access to high-speed, affordable internet is one of the key equity issues of our time. Connectivity is an equalizer and a gateway for opportunity and paramount to our economic prosperity. I was proud to support the Digital Equity Act in Congress, and the bipartisan Affordable Connectivity Program. Now more than ever, with an increase in telehealth, applications for school, jobs, home buying and etc., we have to ensure that our citizens have access to affordable and reliable internet no matter if they live in rural or urban areas around the country. We must close the digital divide.
