Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke Voted as Secretary of Congressional Black Caucus

Today, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke became Secretary of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) for the 112th Congress. She released the following statement:

“I am honored and humbled to be a part of the Congressional Black Caucus leadership as the Caucus’s Secretary. I look forward to working under the leadership of our new Chairman, Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver. I am confident that going into the 112th Congress, the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) will forge forward to expand our vigilance on all issues impacting minority communities and our collective constituencies. I pledge as CBC Secretary to do everything in my power to achieve our collective goals and aspirations.”
