Today, U.S. Representative Yvette D. Clarke, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee toured LaGuardia Airport and met with Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) about their ongoing concerns regarding their collective bargaining rights.

 

“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to meet face to face with TSOs to discuss the challenges they endure,” stated Rep. Clarke.  “It is unacceptable that we are failing to provide the most basic labor protections to our front line workers who perform jobs that are crucial and of vital importance to keep us all safe.  Our TSOs should be afforded the collective bargaining rights and whistleblower protections they deserve.  I will continue to work with Chairman Thompson of Homeland Security and Chairman Miller of Education and Labor to ensure all TSOs have the ability to bargain collectively.”
