Washington, DC- Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke today released the following statement on the tragic death of eight-year-old Leibby Kletzky:

“With the people of central Brooklyn, I offer my condolences to the family of eight-year-old Leibby Kletzky, and I join the many voices in the community that have condemned this heinous crime. Let us continue to rally around the family of Leibby Kletzky.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.” 

“In addition, I would like to thank the New York Police Department for its efforts to investigate this crime and to arrest the suspected killer.  I will continue to work for the resources that allow communities in Brooklyn to protect our children from violence.”
