WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09) joined CEDIA, a global trade association representing the smart home technology industry, for their “A.I. Comes Home” event where A.I.-focused smart home technologies were showcased to lawmakers, Congressional staff members, and industry professionals. As co-chair and co-founder of the Congressional Smart Cities Caucus, Rep. Clarke’s work is focused on sharing solutions, ideas, and best practices around how American communities can most benefit from new forms of smart technology, and how policymakers like her can most effectively support innovation and efforts to bring about equitable technological progress.
“It’s clear, today, that our nation stands at the dawn of a new technological revolution: the age of A.I. And, as we march deeper into this new era, it’s also clear that smart technologies will only become more integrated in our homes and communities, and more impactful in our daily lives. I was proud to join CEDIA for their exciting demonstration, and I look forward to our continued partnership in helping the American people bring the technologies of tomorrow into their homes today,” said Congresswoman Clarke.
“As illustrated in CEDIA’s “A.I. Comes Home” demonstration on Capitol Hill, technology has the power to transform every aspect of how we live. CEDIA is grateful to Rep. Clarke and the members of the Congressional Smart Cities Caucus for their leadership, and we look forward to our continued partnership to improve people’s lives through smart technology,” said Daryl Friedman, Global President and CEO of CEDIA.
