WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke release the following statement on Yom Kippur:

“On behalf of all the people of the Ninth Congressional District of New York, I would like to extend my best wishes to the Jewish community for a day of meaningful contemplation as well as an easy fast. As the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur presents us with this opportunity for solemn reflection on the past and preparation for the future, may we all strive to be inscribed in the Book of Life.
