Congresswoman Clarke Reads Aloud to Local Youth

On Friday, March 7, 2008, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-11) will participate in Read Aloud Day when she reads “Pete’s A Pizza” to students at Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza Central Public Library.

“I look forward to spending time with the leaders of tomorrow and demonstrating my love for reading,” said Congresswoman Clarke.  “Reading is a fundamental life skill that will light the path to wherever their young imagination leads them.  I’m excited about this opportunity.”

For over 10 years, Read Across America has been held by the National Education Association to promote awareness and encourage children nationwide to read every day.
