Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09) issued the following statement containing critical information for those affected by the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturns the constitutional right to abortion:

“As we all know, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and nearly 50 years of precedent, eliminating the federal constitutional right to abortion and stripping women of the right to control their own bodies. In these dangerous times with so much uncertainly, we must remember abortion remains legal in the majority of America. As such, it is our responsibility to provide the resources for any individual who needs an abortion to find a way to get one,” said Congresswoman Clarke.

“If you need to exercise your right to choose, please visit AbortionFinder.org for a list of trusted and verified abortion providers across the United States.”
