Congresswoman Clarke Congratulates Military Academy Nominees

Brooklyn, N.Y. – Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke this week called the young men and women she has nominated to the military service academies, congratulating them on their success and offering her best wishes to them in the future.

These students were selected based on their ability to enter positions of leadership abilities, and their academic excellence, and their commitment to service of on behalf of their nation.

“Each of these young men and young women has already demonstrated the talent, the discipline, and the social awareness to succeed at the institution to which he or she has applied,” said Congresswoman Clarke. “Their community, the community we share in Brooklyn, has high expectations for their development as leaders.”

U.S. Representative Yvette D. Clarke is a member of the House Committee on Small Business, Ethics, and Homeland Security, where she is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Security Technologies. She represents many neighborhoods in central and southern Brooklyn, NY which include Brownsville, Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Gerritsen Beach, Madison, Midwood, parts of Park Slope and Flatlands, Prospect Heights, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Sheepshead Bay, and Windsor Terrace.
