Congresswoman Clarke Announces the Start of Medicare Enrollment
Brooklyn, N.Y. – CongresswomanYvette D. Clarke announced the start of Medicare Open Enrollment today. Until December 7, 2014, anyone eligible for Medicare will have the opportunity to enroll for 2015. Medicare premiums will remain about the same as last year, according to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
“I encourage people who are eligible for Medicare to contact the agency to learn about the choices available, many of which continue to remain affordable,” said Congresswoman Clarke. “When I worked with my colleagues in Congress and President Obama on the Affordable Care Act, we promised American families that we would protect Medicare, today and in the future. We remain committed to that promise.”
To enroll, contact 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) at any time. Medicare beneficiaries, family members, or caregivers could also apply online at http://www.socialsecurity.gov/prescriptionhelp or call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213.
