Washington, D.C. – Women members of the Congressional Black Caucus called on the Pentagon Thursday to dump new Army hair rules they called offensive and biased against women of color.

Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-Brooklyn) and 15 other female members wrote Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel urging him to reconsider the rules that took effect Monday.
