Washington, D.C. – On December 16th, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09), Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), and Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett (USVI), the Co-Chairs of the Congressional Caribbean Caucus, held a virtual meeting with several representatives of the Commission for a Haitian Solution to the Crisis. Following the meeting, they released the following statement:

“We met with representatives of the Commission for a Haitian Solution to the Crisis to discuss their efforts to respond to the extraordinary challenges facing Haiti. They described in detail their efforts to work towards a peaceful resolution of the current political and institutional crisis in Haiti and their plans for Haiti’s future. We were inspired by their courage, and we admire their commitment to dialogue and consensus. We appreciate their efforts to meet with Haitians representing diverse sectors of society and listen to their concerns, and we look forward to continuing our dialogue with them as they continue their work for a better future for the people of Haiti.”
