Congresswoman Clarke’s Statement on the Start of Rosh Hoshana
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke released the following statement on the start of Rosh Hashanah:
“I would like to wish everyone celebrating Rosh Hashana, many blessings, good health, peace, and prosperity for the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah offers an opportunity to reflect on the previous year, to thank God for our blessings, and to prepare ourselves for the future. As we celebrate the Jewish New Year, we should remember the sacrifices of those individuals whose efforts helped build the communities we enjoy today. The contributions of Jewish Americans have been crucial to the development of our civil society in the United States, here in Brooklyn and around the world. The beginning of a new year represents hope and the possibility of positive change. I look forward to the many milestones we will mark together, as we work towards the betterment of our homes, our families, indeed, our communities. L’Shanah Tovah!”
