The trip is hosted by Rep. Kendrick Meek, of Florida and will include meetings with President René Préval, Embassy officials and a site visit to various areas damaged by the recent storms.  Earlier today Rep. Clarke issued a statement urging the United States to increase aid following a series of natural disasters that have further devastated the land and the people.

Donna Edwards (MD) will hold a press conference from Miami Executive Aviation at Opa-Locka Airport (15001 NW 42^nd Avenue, Opa-Locka, Florida) on Saturday, September 13^th at 6 p.m. EST upon their return from Haiti.
