INVESTING IN BLACK WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES: BRIDGING THE BLACK VENTURE CAPITAL GAP PANEL DISCUSSION
Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke and the Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls hosted a panel discussion to highlight Black women who are managing venture capital funds, as well as Black female entrepreneurs who have received venture capital funding. This forum served to empower the next generation of Black investors by providing an introduction to the venture capital industry. Additionally, the discussion focused on the basics of VC funding, opportunities and challenges faced by investors and founders, and strategies for securing venture funding.
