2011 White House Easter Egg Hunt

Washington, DC- This year’s White House Easter Egg Roll will be held on Monday, April 25th, 2011.  The White House will open its South Lawn for children ages 12 years and younger and their families to celebrate Easter!

“I am pleased that this year’s theme for the White House Easter Egg Roll is ‘Get up and Go.’  It is important that we continue to promote a healthy lifestyle for our nation’s young people.  I applaud the First Lady’s initiative, ‘Let’s Move,’ a vital strategy to combating childhood obesity in the United States,” stated Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke.  “This annual event will feature live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling and, of course, Easter egg rolling.  All of the activities will encourage children to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.”

For a chance to attend the 2011 Easter Egg Roll on April 25th, constituents will have to enter an online lottery.  The lottery will be open for entries on Thursday March 10th at 12:01am and close on March 13th at 11:59pm.  Full ticketing details can be found at www.whitehouse.gov/eastereggroll.
